Just had to share this:
Good evening.
I received this from a friend and thought you would love it as much as I did.
This is the story of a young boy whose parents were murdered during 2002 riots in Kaduna.
He was aged 11 yrs at the time this sad incident took place. His parents, Mr Austine and Mrs Josephine Moses, were missionaries until they met their untimely death, what a sad end. The boy left his house
to play football but returned home to see that all his parents had laboured for had been razed down and he would never see his mother and father again.
He was taken to London by his Uncle almost immediately after the incident. While in London, he began deploying his football skills. Though his parents were murdered, his passion for football was never killed. He played football for his school and later for a local Tandrige League club until Crystal Palace FC approached him. From that point, his career progressed in leaps and bounds.
This player played for England's under 16, 17, 19 and 21 teams between 2005 and 2010 scoring
11 goals for England during this period. He later moved to Wigan Athletic and now he plays for Chelsea. This footballer is called VICTOR MOSES.
His story is a touching one, I share his pains. I also share his courage. He had a choice not to step into Nigeria again but he didn't take that option.
When the call to serve his fatherland came, Moses dumped England and embraced
Nigeria... That is patriotism!
Today, we see a Victor Moses bringing joy to every Nigerian including those who may
have inspired his parent's death... That is Love!
On Sunday, Moses would stand for the National Anthem and pledge allegiance to a country
that couldn't defend his parents... That is faith! Moses would deliver the "African Cup of Nations" trophy to Nigeria not minding what had happened in the past... That is forgiveness! Moses rose through bitterness and despair to the limelight of hope and courage.
He never gave up on his country. He
persevered... That is purpose!
If someone like Victor Moses, despite the bitter past, never gave up on Nigeria, then why should we..

Willow Smith is Too Old to Play ‘Annie’
Free spirit, Willow Smith is just too old now to play the role of ‘Annie’ in the upcoming “Annie” musical.
According to Deadline.com, the singer was supposed to play the orphan, but now the producers of the show are saying Willow aged out.
Pre-production started three years ago and Willow was the top candidate for the spot, but now that’s she’s 12, Will Smith’s little female twin will have to sit this one out.
But her parents will still be involved in producing the film and even brought aboard Jay-Z, who signed their kid to Roc Nation. Besides, it should be a great partnership, being that Jay has a bit of a remix history with the classic song, “Hard Knock Life.”
Although it’s not clear yet who will be taking the major role, the film will begin shooting in the fall.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoof news story sparks uproar, and outrage from Sammy Ameobi
Footballers and their tweets? na wa oh!
Yet again, Dirty Tackle's Future News series has served the unintended purpose of exposing the gullible and outing those who refuse to fact-check or credit their sources. But this time, the actual Sammy Ameobi got roped into it all.
It all started when ESPN ran a Future News about Leo Messi's ghost playing for Barcelona as real, then it reached new heights when a story about Cristiano Ronaldo missing the plane home from Euro 2012 for a Cinnabon was picked up by the EFE and tabloids around Europe (and even became an RT video report).
And now there is a post about Zlatan Ibrahimovic telling the children of Paris to give him moneyexposing the unreliability of playing whisper down the lane on social media sites.
Though Zlatan has been known to say some ridiculous things, this was a bit too ridiculous even for him. The story included Ibrahimovic using the phrase "Zlaritable donation" and had him practicing Taekwondo while talking to the press about the French tax code. It was all good fun and taken as the satire that it was until it started getting taken out of context on Twitter and Facebook.
One parody Twitter account with nearly 100,000 followers republished part of the fake Zlatan quote on their monetized Sulia page without attribution (the excuse, which they found to be perfectly reasonable, being that they didn't read the title or follow the link to the original post from the shady mirror site they found it on).
Another Twitter account parody of a famous footballer found a screenshot of that unattributed quote on Facebook and put it on a photo of Zlatan, then tweeted it to their 500,000 followers ("what's worse, plagiarism or making people believe that someone said something that they didn't?" asked the account doing both of those things when confronted on the matter).
Suddenly that image and screenshots of the unattributed fake Zlatan quotes were spreading across social media platforms and being taken as fact by even more people who didn't think to do a quick check to see if they're real.
Those people included a BBC match commentator and Newcastle's Sammy Ameobi, who tweeted a screenshot of the fake Zlatan quote -- spreading it to even more people and with an added, verified reason to believe it was true -- along with the hashtag "#zlaritable."
Excellent question, Sammy.

Not A Good Look: Bishop Larry Trotter, You’ve Got Some Serious ‘Splainin’ to do
Instagram photo of Bishop Larry Trotter of Chicago, Illinois, in the bathtub with his granddaughter that has sparked outrage.
Earlier this week, Bishop Larry Trotter, who is the senior pastor of mega-church Sweet Holy Spirit Church in Chicago, Illinois, was seen in a photo taking a bubble bath with his granddaughter.
The photo was on his Instagram account and both Bishop Trotter and his granddaughter show huge teethy smiles for the camera. The incident has been viewed as hugely inappropriate and has placed a shadow of deviance over the Bishop.
Pastor John Hannah of the John Hannah Morning Show interviewed Bishop Larry Trotter over the phone to give him an opportunity to address the picture of him and his granddaughter.
Thursday morning, the Bishop had a phone interview with Pastor John Hannah on the John Hannah Morning Show on iHeart Radio – Inspiration 1390 where he revealed that the backlash from the photo has been “hurtful” for him. He described it as a “dark” time for himself and his family since the photo was released.
The Bishop explained in his interview with Pastor Hannah that the photo was totally innocent, but “has become nasty and ugly”:

You & God.. Awesome Conversation

Me: God, can I ask You a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise You won't get mad ... ... ... ...
God: I promise
Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start
God: Okay
Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
God: Huummm
Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
God: All right
Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one
of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
Me (humbled): OH
GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
Me: (ashamed)
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
Me (embarrassed):Okay
God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
Me (softly): I see God
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I'm Sorry God
God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.
Me: I will trust You.
God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

Obama vs Mitt (by Cameron Turner)

*That mess was pitiful. Mitt Romney didn’t win last night’s Presidential debate. President Obama gave it away.
Barack Obama is an incumbent President with an admirable record of accomplishments, but he didn’t act like it Wednesday night on the debate stage. The President could have easily run the stage but, for some bizarre reason, he played a weak, apologetic and defensive game. President Obama allowed Mitt Romney to dominate the discussion, to trash his record and to define him.
Over and over again, President Obama allowed Gov. Romney to get away with outrageous, easily-refutable claims. The President did a pretty good job of challenging Romney’s newly-minted claim that he won’t reduce income taxes for the rich. But Obama blew it when Romney accused him of cutting $716 billion from MediCare, and claimed that the President’s healthcare reform law will cost jobs and force people to lose their medical insurance. When Romney made those allegations, the President should’ve pushed back hard with the facts – but he didn’t.
And when Romney stated, over and over again, that he is compassionate toward the poor, children and the elderly, President Obama could’ve hit an easy homerun by mentioning Romney’s cruel, inaccurate and elitist claim that 47% of Americans think of themselves as victims entitled to government handouts and who are not willing to take responsibility for their lives. But the President didn’t do that either.
Worst of all, President Obama didn’t defend his record. He didn’t brag about the 18 months of private sector job growth, or the 4 million jobs created on his watch or the fact that he saved the American auto industry. He didn’t talk about the American Jobs Act and his other employment bills that were killed by Republicans in the House and Senate. He didn’t play up his defense of women’s reproductive rights, or women’s right to equal pay for equal work. Neither did he dwell on his support for marriage equality, immigration reform and the DREAM Act
And when Mitt Romney accused him of failing to bring bipartisan leadership to Washington, President Obama should’ve pointed out that he bent over backwards to cooperate with the Republicans on Capitol Hill, but that he was rebuffed blocked at every turn.
But the worst part of Wednesday’s debate was President Obama’s pathetic closing argument, which was a basically rehash of his wimpy Democratic National Convention speech – only wimpier. Instead of touting his achievements and telling the American people why they are better off now than they were four years ago, President Obama apologized for his imperfections and begged folks to vote for him. That is not leadership. Especially for a President who has accomplished so much in the face of historic challenges and unprecedented opposition.
President Obama has a proud record and the best plan for the future of our nation. His heart is in the right place, he’s on the right side of the issues and his policies are working! He is simply a better man for America than Mitt Romney. The polls show that the public trusts him.
Mitt Romney can’t beat him. But if he doesn’t put up his dukes and start fighting, President Obama could mess around and beat himself.
Thanks for listening. I’m Cameron Turner and that’s my two cent
